Swimming is the heart of the Tarry Crest Club, whether it is swimming for recreation, competition, exercise, or just
plain outdoors fun! Use the links at the right for more information about our swim team, our private and group swim lessons,
and our beautiful pool facilities.

Meet our Swim Staff Brian Tompkins

the days he was a Tarry Crest team member! He is assisted by Courtney and Bryan. Molly is our swimming instructor. Bryan was
a new addition to the swim team program in 2008! Courtney and Molly have been avid, early swimmers since they were in elementary
school, competing on behalf of the the Tarry Crest Swim Team.
Lifeguards Our senior lifeguards are American Red Cross-certified and
are trained to: - Prevent injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors.
- Enforce
facility rules and regulations and educate members and guests about them, as needed.
- Recognize and respond
effectively to all emergencies.
- Work with other lifeguards or staff, as needed.
Our junior
lifeguards, ages 11- to 14-years old, are encouraged to take Red Cross Lifeguarding certification programs to be eligible
for future work as lifeguards. Our junior lifeguards build a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills that they
will need to be responsible lifeguards.
Lifeguard Training Program LIfeguard training is usually offered at Tarry
Crest in August.
