Tarry Crest Swimming

Swimming is the heart of the Tarry Crest Club. Come enjoy recreation, exercise or just plain outdoor fun! 

Early Adult Swim is Back:
Adult morning lap swim is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 AM starting Tuesday,
June 1.

Daily Adult Lap Swim:
Daily lap swim is every day from 10:00-12:00 and from 6:00-8:00 PM 

Swim Instruction:  
Lesson sign up sheets are posted at the club or contact our instructor at tarrycrest.swimlessons@gmail.com.

Fees for swim lessons:

  • Private swim lessons: $25.00 per 1/2 hour 
  • Semi-private swim lessons (for siblings only): $35.00 per 1/2 hour 

Please note that due to social distancing requirements, instructors will provide coaching from the deck.
​If your child requires support in the water, a parent or caregiver will need to be in the water with them
for the lesson.

Swim and Dive Team information

Our team is a great opportunity for kids to have fun, improve their strokes, and engage in healthy competition. The team is open to children ages 5-18 who have passed their deep water test. Fees are $60 per child (maximum $125 per family). Register here.

2021 Season - Important Dates

  • Pre-season swim practice: June 14, 16, 21, 23, 5:00 - 6:00 PM

  • Regular season:

    • Swim practice: June 28-July 30, 8:00 - 9:00 AM (until 9:30 for more advanced swimmers)

    • Dive practice: June 28-July 30, 9:30 - 10:00 AM

  • Meets: We swim and dive against other clubs as part of the Northern Westchester Swim Conference. We are awaiting the 2021 schedule, but expect there will be 4-5 competitive “A” meets. Due to COVID and limited capacity at pools, there will be no “B” meets, All Stars, or Championships this summer.

Pool Rules and Guidelines

  1. Any games (basketball, nerf ball, tag, etc.) in or around the pool, may be suspended by the lifeguard on duty in the interest of safety.
  2. Children who are not toilet trained are not allowed in the main pool under any circumstances.
  3. The use of artificial flotation devices in either pool is prohibited.
  4. All children must pass a "Deep-water Test" prior to entering the deep-end of the pool or the diving area.
  5. The priority of the lifeguards is the safety of the swimmers in the pool. All questions should be directed to an "off duty" lifeguard or the Club Manager.
  6. No lawn chairs are allowed on the pool deck. Only ground level beach chairs are allowed around the kiddie pool.
